Choosing a Theme

Select colors and animations to suit your mood.

Non-animating themes can be found at the end of the list, which can be accessed through the arrow buttons.

Keyboard Shortcut:
up and down arrows, or scroll wheel

Random Theme

Kitty will choose a random theme for you.

 

General

Auto Completion

Where possible, Kitty will finish your Hand for you, saving you the effort of having to move all remaining cards. Kitty likes time-saving gadgets!

Show Moves Warning

Where possible, Ferdiham Horatio Pig will alert you when no useful moves can be made. At this point, the Hand is unwinnable, unless you try a different approach by undoing some moves or restarting the Hand. Remember though, undoing will cost you points!

Note: the warning is not available for all game types.

 

Sound

Audio Volume

Click or drag in the volume bar to adjust the sound effects volume.

Note: this volume is relative to your Mac's overall System volume, which you may need to adjust.

Play Button Rollover Sounds

Turn this off if you don't want to hear the delightful 'tonking' sounds when buttons are rolled-over.

 

Players

Player Profiles

Kitty will remember the games, statistics and preferences for up to 8 players.

All profiles are viewed in the Choose a Player panel.

Add Player

Kitty will prompt you for the name of the new player. The new player is created with the appearance and sound preferences of the currently selected player.
Keyboard Shortcut: a or +

Delete Player

Kitty will ask you if you're really sure you want to delete the currently selected player. Be careful, because the player's games and preferences will be lost forever. At least one player is required at all times.
Keyboard Shortcut: d or -

Rename Player

Change the name of the currently selected player. The player's games and preferences are unaffected. Each player name must be unique.
