Kitty Spangles Soltaire 3.7 - Now Available
Hello Kitty Chums!
Kitty Spangles Solitaire 3.7 has been released, and is a free update for all registered players.
To download the update, simply launch Kitty and she'll guide you through the update process.
Or, you can download the update manually, by clicking here.
As well as the usual bug fixes and refinements, we've added another three games to Kitty's list:
Easthaven
This is a challenging combination of Spider and Klondike.
Like Klondike, the goal is to build 4 Foundation piles up from Ace to King, each in a different suit.
The seven Tableau stacks build downwards in alternating color, also like Klondike.
However, like Spider, the game has no Waste pile. Instead, clicking on the Deck (or pressing the space key) will deal cards directly to the Tableau stacks. This will usually complicate life for you, so you should only deal when all other moves have been made.
Empty Tableau stacks can only be filled with a King, or a group of cards in proper sequence where the first card is a King.
Like most Spider games, this one is pretty tough, with a fairly low win rate. Good for a challenge!
Storehouse
This is a slightly easier version of Canfield, but with a twist: all the Twos have been taken out of the Deck and placed in the Foundation piles for you.
To win, build each Foundation pile up from 2 to Ace, in the same suit (Aces can be placed on Kings).
The Tableau stacks build downwards, also in same-suit. Only the the top-most card of a Tableau stack can be played, or you can move an entire stack to another stack. You cannot move partial stack sequences.
Empty Tableau stacks are automatically filled from the Storehouse pile. When the Storehouse is depleted, empty Tableau stacks can be filled from the Waste pile, but cannot be filled from a different Tableau stack.
Clicking on the Deck (or pressing the space key) will deal out a single card to the Waste at a time. The Deck can be restocked twice.
Westcliff
This is a great game for when you feel more relaxed or you want Kitty to remind you that she loves you!
To win, build each Foundation pile up from Ace to King, in the same suit.
Build the Tableau stacks downwards, in alternating colors. Importantly, empty stacks can be filled by any card or sequence of cards!
Clicking on the Deck (or pressing the space key) will deal out a single card to the Waste at a time. The Deck cannot be restocked, but don't worry, with a little planning you should be able to win this game most of the time.
As a shortcut, pressing the return key will move the top-most Waste card to the Tableau stacks, if possible.
What's Coming?
As always, if you'd like to see a new game or some new feature, just let us know! We love feedback and suggestions! We'd also like to hear from anyone interested in volunteering their time to help translate Kitty in to other languages.
And remember, Kitty loves you!
