Kitty Solitaire - Upcoming Games Part II
Heya spanglers. If you'd like to see your favorite game in Kitty Spangles Solitaire, just drop us a line.
Some games coming in the 3.1 update:
Golf
A very popular request. Afterplaying testing it for a while, we can see why: you end up in an addicted, drooly-mouthed trance. The kind of fun normally enjoyed by Robert Downey Jr, but without the mug-shots and imaginary bats.
Golf is quick, has a low win rate, and is unusual for a number of reasons: like its namesake, the lowest score is best, and the goal of the game is to put all of the cards into a single pile. Many players prefer an easier variant, allowing you to "turn the corner" by putting Aces on Kings, and vice versa:
Montana (aka Gaps, or Spaces)
Another much requested game, and a fun one. The goal is to form 4 suited rows, in order from 2 to King. To do this, cards are moved around through the use of the gaps, not unlike a sliding tile puzzle. Games are quite lengthy, the usual solitaire strategies are twisted around, and wins are rewarding.
Beleaguered Castle
This one was a surprise. I'd started thinking I had most solitaires all figured out, then one comes along that pushes and prods some dormant brain cells:
A reminder: if you've purchased Kitty or sent us a message recently, and haven't heard back from us, please go here.

I'm holding out for Kitty Spangles Cribbage... not necessarily as an add-on to Solitaire... but it would nice to have somebody to play Crib with while I am on the road, even if I have to buy a new app.

I'm thinking games Hearts and Cribbage would be another app altogether, mostly due to the multiplayer aspect. If we did this, it'd be some ways off, as we've got a couple of other projects to get out first, the first of which starts with s and ends with udoku.
Oh, and Kitty sends commiserations on the loss of Elizabeth to that rich, good-looking cad. Wouldn't worry though, you can do better than that hussy.

The only game to add that I can think of (other than Golf and Pyramid) is Accordion, which I used to play in Solitaire Till Dawn. Accordion is an odd one, and due to how the cards automatically move, I don't know how easy it would be to add it.
P.S. Thanks Swoop and MacZot, KSS is awesome! :)

My favorite solitaire game is Oonsoo. It's the only solitaire game for the beautiful Japanese hanafuda cards (although it was developed in Korea).

Hanafuda decks have 12 suites of four cards each, so they are almost a perfect pivot of Western card decks.
Nintendo was founded in the late 19th century to make hanafuda cards, and they are still the major manufacturer of them in Japan.

There are a couple of computer versions of Oonsoo, but no online version. Here's an online version of a popular 2-person hanafuda game called Koi-Koi

The talented Swoop illustrator could have a field day doing a pack of Kitty themed hanafuda cards!

Thanks for the suggestion of Oonsoo, Anon! We'll check it out, and see if we can add it to the Kitty Collection!
